While this is a great time to go to the lobby and get ourselves a treat, it’s also a fine opportunity for me to check in and show vital signs! For those who were looking forward to my forthcoming projects, or had just started getting into my podcast, I first want to assure you that my plans haven’t changed. Pretty much all my resources (including time & energy) have been tied up in a recent move, so I’ve been transitioning to a new job in a new place, and the process has taken more energy than I anticipated. I’m off my rhythm, but that’s not the same as losing vision. In fact, one very great update is that I’m designing my new living space to not only have a home office, but also an art studio! It’s in its early stages, but here‘s the start of it:
I’m psyched about this, especially because I can’t remember how long it’s been since I’ve had a proper art desk, let alone a place to put it! One can get the job done in a less than ideal environment (I learned that during the all-virtual work months of the pandemic), but I’m a big proponent of having a dedicated space set aside for a specific purpose. Not many of you would have reason to know that my previous work space was also the space where I recorded podcasts, ate meals, and watched movies, but I will just say that for me this is a major quality of life improvement, and it is also a major step in preparation for getting back to these projects that I’ve been talking about. So stick with me and we’ll find our way back to a livable production schedule. That’s all for now, all. Hope you’re enjoying your summer!
